HARARE -- Umongameli Emmerson Mnangagwa uthi uhulumende wakhe uzinikele ukunceda abantwana besikolo ukuze befunde ngendlela ezikhaliphileyo ezigoqela ukusebenzisa ubulembu obeInternet, lemitshina yangalezi nsuku eyamaComputer lokunye.
Ekhuluma ekuvulweni kwedale lephalamende labantwana, iJunior Parliament of Zimbabwe, okuqondane lelanga lokunanza lokuqakathekiswa kwabasakhulayo baseAfrica, ele International Day of the African Child, uMnangagwa, utshayele ihlombe, uhulumende wakhe, esithi uqhubekela phambili eqinisa umsebenzi wokuthuthkisa imfundo yaseZimbabwe ukube ngelohlonzi xa iqathaniswa leyakwamanye amazwe.
“Ukubuya kwendlela ezifana lobulembu beInternet, sokwenze ukuthi abantwana bethu labo bethole imfundo ephezulu, engabandlululi muntu. Yikho uhulumende wami, ebeka imithetho lenhlelo ezinikeza wonke umntwana ithuba lokusebenzisa lezi ndlela ezifundweni zakhe, ukuze athuthukise impilo yakhe.”
Omunye wabakade bekhona emkhosini wanamhlanje, umeli weMakokoba edale lephalamende yabantwana, uPardon Phiri uthi izifundo zamaComputers kaziqakathekiswa kangako ezikolo.
“Nginanzelela ukuthi izifundo zamaComputers kukhanya zibekwa eceleni; amatichala ethu kukhanya kakwazi kangako ngawo; njalo sithola isikhathi esilutshwane ukumafunda. Ngifisa ukuthi umphathintambo wemfundo yaphansi asincede, iSubject leyi ithathwe njengamanye esimafundayo afana leMaths, ngoba njengamanye amazwe aphambili kulezindaba, lasi siyafisa khona.”
Umeli weMpopoma-Phelandaba-Mabuthweni, edale lephalamende yabantwana, njalo efunda eMpopoma High School koBulawayo, uZipho Dube, uthi kuyasilela okokusebenzisa loba befuna ukufunda ngendlela zakulezinsuku.
“Mina lokhe ngangena esikolo sami, ngizwa kuthiwa abaphantintambo bayaletha amaComputers lamaLaptops, kodwa kithi ngale asizake simabone. Sicela umphathintambo obona ngezemfundo yaphansi, lalowo owamaICT, ukuthi basilethele lathi lezi zinto, ukuze sikwanise ukufunda njengabanye abantwana. Sicela njalo ukwengezelelwa amatichala afundisa iComputer Science ngoba bayasilela, izifundi zibuya zibe zinengi kakhulu.”
Wengeze njalo uZipho wathi kule ndubo ezinengi ezihlangana labafundi besikolweni sakhe.
“Isikolo sethu sibambene lomduli wetara- sibona nxa isifundi esiyinkazana nxa sidlula sisiya esikolo, amaTouts ayambiza; kodwa engakhangela eceleni, bayaqila ukumthuka, okubuya kumhlukumeze. Okunye yikhuthi laba bantu baletha izidakamizwa esikolo, ezingena ngaphezulu kweDurawall. Lokhu sokwenze isikolo sethu sidume ngamaDrugs.”
Ubuye njalo Bhekakuye Moyo, umeli weBulawayo East edale lephalamende yabantwana, njalo engumsekeli kamphathintambo obona ngezobudlelwane lamanye amazwe, wathi bayafeyila amaCALA abantwana ngoba zilutshwane izinto zokusebenzisa.
“Uhlupho kundaba yeICT yikuthi lapho iMinistry of Education ibise udaba olutsha lokufunda, lokhu kufuna ukusebenza ndawonye lemitshina yakulezinsuku, amaComputers, kodwa lezi zinto azikaphiwa abafundi. Kwenza ukuthi singapasi kangako ezifundweni zethu. Abahambelane ndawonye abakungatsha ezithi Ministry of Primary Education leMinistry of ICT, ukuze inking leyi iphele, sibe yizifundi zaphezulu.”
Kodwa isikhulumeli senhlanganiso yababalisi, eyeAmalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe, uMnumzana Thembakuye Moyo uthi, uphambana leqiniso umongameli, lapho athi uhulumende wakhe wenza konke akwenelesayo ukunceda izifundi kuhlangothi olweICT.
“Abantwana nxa sibathembisa amaComputer, siyabe sisithi iZimbabwe yonke iyafinyeleleka ngeInternet. Kodwa indawo ezinengi elizweni kayila internet- pho amaComputer lawo azasebenza ngaphi? Okukhona, ubaba kayekele ukuthi kubantwana, ngizaliphathela iziwiji, kodwa athi, nanzi iziwiji engiliphathele zona.”
Ezinye indaba eziphakanyiswe ngabameli babantwanaedale lephalamende labo, zigoqela ukuthathwa kwezidakamizwa, amalungelo abantwana abaphila labakhubazekileyo kanye lokuhlukumezwa kwezifundi ngababalisi.
Ukuphawulwa okusemthethweni kwephalamende yabantwana kwenziwe phansi kwendikimba yokunanza amalungelo ezifundi, ikakhulu kulezinsuku okusetshenziswa iimitshina yakulezi nsuku yebulenjini eyeInternet, ethi “The Rights of The Child in The Digital Environment.”
